This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our friendly team. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas, including the emergency department and mental health, providing clinical pharmacy services and participating in quality activities and projects.  Whanganui hospital has ward pharmacy technicians providing medicines reconciliation which allows pharmacists more time to provide clinical services.  You will also be responsible for providing medication education to clinical staff, patients and whanau.


The successful applicant will:

  • be able to demonstrate entry level clinical skills and knowledge or above. 

  • have well-developed time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

  • have a high degree of accuracy

  • be an effective team player

  • have excellent communication and organisational skills

  • be computer literate

  • be registered or be eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate
