Health Workforce New Zealand: Nursing Post Graduate Funding

 

Health Workforce New Zealand (HWNZ) funding assists Registered Nurses undertaking postgraduate (level 8) Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) & New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) approved papers towards a formal postgraduate qualification.

Registered Nurses working in clinical practice in the Whanganui region (Primary Health Organisations, Whanganui District Health Board, Non Government Organisations and Aged Care Sector) are invited to apply for HWNZ funding for 2019.

Applications open on Monday 20 August and close 4.30 pm Friday 26 October 2018.

Incomplete forms will be returned and this may delay the application process.  Forms may be sent to the HWNZ coordinator by email or in hard copy.  A link to the form will be available on the intranet and WDHB web page from Monday August 20.

The Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) is a clinically focused competency-based programme for nurses. It is a national programme, endorsed by the Nursing Council of New Zealand and the New Zealand Nurses Organisation.

Capital & Coast (CCDHB), MidCentral (MDHB) and Whanganui (WDHB) District Health Boards have aligned their PDRPs to meet the required frameworks with all information now accessible through a shared portal.
