Ruapehu Whānau Transformation Group Careers Expo
back

The Ruapehu Whānau Transformation Group was formed in 2011 with a focus to improve the education, employment, housing, health and social opportunities for the Waimarino.

Their first careers expo, held in February 2014, achieved 31 employment outcomes. It was agreed the expo would become an annual event for the Community.

This is now a regular calendar event for the WDHB haumoana workforce development coordinator who is joined there by staff from Ohakune’s Ngati Rangi Community Health Centre and Raetihi’s Te Puke Karanga.

This is a community event for all ages, which the WDHB views as an ideal opportunity to encourage and recruit more people into the health workforce.
