To celebrate their 21st birthday, the Hurricanes are giving every baby born in the club’s catchment area on Saturday April 9 an official Hurricanes Super Rugby team onesie, complete with a beanie to keep them warm on match day.

The Hurricanes are sending 90 onesies out to maternity wards in Whanganui, Wellington, Hutt Valley, Palmerston North, Napier, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne Hospitals.

Whanganui District Health Board (WDHB) charge midwife Lucy Pettit says she and her team are looking forward to giving the Hurricanes outfits to parents of babies (girls and boys) born in Whanganui’s Maternity Ward.

Parents of Whanganui babies born in places other than hospital on Saturday are able to request an outfit by sending a copy of their baby’s birth certificate to the Hurricanes office.
