Wanganui Hospital patients and residents of aged care facilities are being surveyed this week to help the Whanganui District Health Board understand the occurrence rate of pressure ulcers, incontinence, poor nutritional issues, falls and restraint – all aspects of nursing care that help nursing leaders focus attention on where improvement to nursing care can be achieved.

Patients and residents are invited to participate in the survey which is led by registered nurses with the support of student nurses and other health care workers. Results from the survey will be reported back to survey participants in February.
