A new piece of equipment is being installed at Whanganui Hospital, which will affect some areas of the hospital while the installation is taking place.

Medlab will be closed on Tuesday, August 20 from 7.30am until 1pm.

Blood testing and other Medlab services will not be available during this time.

The main entrance of the hospital will also be closed, and staff will be available to direct people on how to gain access, which will be through the courtyard around the side of the building.

Traffic management will be in place as there will be less car parking available while the installation is taking place.

Access to the Emergency Department will not be affected.

If due to weather conditions the installation cannot be completed on Tuesday, the alternative day is Wednesday, August 21.
